A landmass well cared for under the eye of the overseers

A journalist’s sister goes missing, and the bartender starts a search to get her back, as she’s all they have left to call a family, by blood.

The search goes on for a year and a half, refusing to give, while the case falls under the threat of archive. One day, a suspicious photograph falls into the hands of the officers who aid them, showing their missing sister, and the mayor of the city-state of Urkucusco, walking as a couple in the darker streets of the metropolis.

Dated barely half a year before her disappearance, they approach the mayor in a fashion best suited for the rumors about him, and everything Joshua has ever thought they’d known crashes off the rails.

As love grips their heart, and is reborn in the old man’s shattered one, what they thought to be a simple kidnapping turns out to be a story of broken people, the minds behind the power, and a philanthropist.
